I grew up in South Africa and took a gap year (2025) in New Zealand working as a GAP Tutor at St Pauls collegiate school. I loved the community in Hamilton and I will be returning to Hamilton for another year (2026) from the middle of February. I would love to become a regular babysitter or aupair for your family.

Experience
My childcare experience: - I worked at St Pauls Collegiate school (a secondary school in Hamilton) for a year (2025) where I was responsible for relief classes, working in the boarding house and coaching tennis and hockey. - Driven two girls to school (ages 6 and 10) for the last 6 months - I have volunteered extensively at SARDA (South African Riding for the disabled), working with special needs kids between the ages of about 6 and 12. - Babysitting - Tutoring (ages 11- 13) - Coaching hockey individual, group and team (ages 8-18) -Coaching at various different tennis camps (ages 4- 10) I do genuinely enjoy looking after children (hence why I chose to work at a school for my Gap year) and I have experience with a range of ages.

Why I love working with kids
I love the way that kids/children are curious about the smallest things and I enjoy engaging children with tasks to encourage this. I enjoy the energy that kids usually portray doing various activities. I feel like I have gained substantial experience working with children of various ages and I like the fact that I can share this experience with families. I come from a very sport background (as an athlete and a coach) and I love the fact that this is something that I can help pass onto the children that I work with.
