I'm currently a Filipino postgraduate student at The University of Waikato. My husband and I are still child-free despite multiple attempts and two miscarriages. I am a furmom in the Philippines and I love nurturing them, and also my niece and nephews from my sister whenever we are together either in Philippines or in Australia. I'd love to try to channel my nurturing nature through babysitting here in Aotearoa.

Experience

I have a considerable experience in babysitting my nieces and nephews, as well as some of our friends' newborn babies and toddlers (about 3 months to 8 years old). Some tasks included changing diapers, preparing meals, accompanying kids to playground, driving them to the church or to their home, etc. I was also a Sunday school teacher when I looked after kids from 2-12 years old. I am eager to gain experience in baby sitting here in New Zealand.

Why I love working with kids

Working with kids keep me grounded in my ecological commitment that we should take care of our planet for the future generations. There is no stronger reminder to this commitment than looking children through their eyes and taking care of them. It also appeases my longing to have at least one, while I am slowly accepting the possibility that I might not be able to bear a child anymore.
