I’m a calm​,​ patient​,​ and positive person who believes in keeping a smile no matter what life brings—and I bring that same cheerful energy to every child I care for. I genuinely love being around kids. That love started early​,​ when I helped raise my little sister (who is 7 years younger than me) and has only grown stronger since. I am a graduate in Bachelor's of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology and currently pursuing my Master's in Speech and Language Pathology at the University of Canterbury. Along with my studies​,​ I am working as a support worker for a child with autism​,​ ADHD​,​ and anxiety. I also work as a part-time (casual) ECE relief teacher through Talk Recruitment where I get to engage with children in early childhood centres. As part of my Master’s degree​,​ I have had practical placements in preschools which helped me understand early development and child-centered care. I also have one year of experience working at a speech therapy centre for children and during my undergraduate degree​,​ I completed internships in different schools and hospitals working closely with children of different ages and needs. What makes this more than just a job for me is the joy I find in connecting with children on their level. Whether it’s playtime​,​ storytelling​,​ or simply listening to their thoughts​,​ I make sure they feel seen​,​ heard​,​ and valued. Every child is unique and I take pride in understanding their individual personalities and creating a safe​,​ warm environment where they can thrive. Back home​,​ I was known as the only grown-up who actually loved joining in kids’ games because for me​,​ childhood isn’t just a stage​,​ it’s a world full of wonder​,​ laughter​,​ and growth. I always try to keep my inner child alive​,​ and I deeply understand how precious those early moments are for lifelong emotional​,​ physical​,​ and mental development. I know it’s not easy to trust someone with your child. That’s why I approach this role with deep responsibility​,​ love​,​ and sincerity.
